He passed away March 25. Joe was born in Union City and resided in Weehawken for the last 55 years. Joe served his country as a corporal in the US Army Air Force during World War II. Joe was a machinist for the Groove Pin Company in Ridgefield for many years before retiring. He is survived by his wife Anna M. McCarthy Parete; his daughters Loretta and her husband Tony Gonnella; JoAnn and her husband Peter Midgley; his son in law James Behan; his brother Salvatore Parete; his sisters Rosemary Weinstein and Marilyn Parete; his niece TJ Smith and his nephews Anthony and Frank Giancona; his grandchild Alfonse and Dean Gonnella; Christopher and Joseph and his wife Crista Behan. He passed away March 27 at Hackensack Medical Center. He was born in Jersey City and was a former resident of Hoboken before moving to Secaucus 42 years ago. Robert was the manager of transportation for Recall Inc. in Secaucus for 15 years before retiring in 2017. He was a Secaucus Little League coach for 30 years and coached basketball and football for the Secaucus Recreation Department for 10 years. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Elizabeth (Betty) Acerra; his mother Maria Acerra; his 2 sons Jason and his wife Colleen Acerra; Robert J. She passed away in her sleep on March 18. Classmates knew her as Henny, one of the best infielders, playing baseball and basketball competitively with the boys. Helen’s open-hearted, generous and fun spirit, along with her gift of conversation, was appreciated by all who met her. She was a devoted grandmother, who enjoyed time with her extended family and wide circle of friends, and afternoons at Yankee Stadium. Helen is survived by her children: Thomas and Grace Peletier, Laura Peletier, Steven Peletier and Fay Salwen, and Glenn Peletier. Also survived by her sister Muriel Hollopeter and grandchildren: Joy, Joshua, Giovanni, and Genevieve Peletier. She was preceded in death by her grandson Dustin S. Peletier and ex-husband Thomas D.
